Supporting first-year residents as they transition into independent living and university life, while maintaining engagement, wellbeing, and a strong sense of community across the academic year. The team wanted a consistent, practical way to support students beyond one-off events.

Working in collaboration with the Campus Living Villages team, we designed a student success resource that could be embedded directly into the residential experience. The focus was on aligning the planner with key moments in the student journey — from orientation through to ongoing wellbeing, productivity, and personal development initiatives.

  • 200 bespoke student planners for new residents
  • A keynote session delivered during orientation week
  • Planner content aligned to wellbeing, time management, and student success themes
  • Integration of the planner into ongoing student events across the year
  • Continued support to ensure consistent use and engagement

The planner became a central tool within the residential experience, supporting students to better manage their time, reflect on goals, and engage more meaningfully with wellbeing and development initiatives. Staff were able to anchor events and conversations around a shared framework, increasing consistency and student participation.

By embedding the planner into residential life, Campus Living Villages created a scalable, repeatable approach to supporting student wellbeing and engagement. The programme strengthened student connection, reinforced positive habits, and enhanced the overall first-year experience — while providing a practical, cost-effective tool that could be rolled out to future cohorts.
