The Challenge

The College identified challenges around learner engagement, confidence, and the development of broader life skills among students studying practical, trade-focused courses. Many learners were highly capable technically but required additional support around self-management, communication, wellbeing, and readiness for life beyond college. The College wanted an approach that was relevant, respectful, and engaging for learners across predominantly practical subject areas.

The Approach

We worked alongside the College to deliver a programme of workshops spaced throughout the academic year, allowing concepts to be introduced, reinforced, and built upon over time. The sessions were designed to be practical, relatable, and grounded in real-world contexts, ensuring they resonated with learners studying hands-on trades and vocational pathways.
