Case Studies
Teesside University
Teesside University is a dynamic public university in Middlesbrough, UK, known for industry-aligned courses, applied learning, and strong student support. It serves a diverse student body across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes, with a focus on employability, wellbeing, and real-world outcomes.

The Challenge
Teesside University wanted to enhance first-year engagement and wellbeing across multiple student cohorts — including business, creative arts, and entrepreneurship — in a way that supported consistency of experience without creating additional burden on staff. The university needed tools and activities that would help students build confidence, connection and sustainable habits across the academic year.
The Approach
Semester Student Planner worked closely with various eams throughout the university to create three different custom planers, One for the Business School, another for the Creative Arts school and finally for the Entrepreneurship and Graduate Intership programs.
Working closely with academic and support teams, we co-designed bespoke planners and an embedded support programme tailored to the unique needs of each cohort. Rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, our approach aligned planner content with curriculum, induction, and co-curricular frameworks, while complementing existing student support services and initiatives.
